Fucoidan from brown seaweeds is partially hydrolyzed and\/or sulfonated and then mixed with other ingredients for use as a dietary supplement in beverage, capsule, or tablet form or for use as a skin-care product. Other ingredients that can be included in the dietary supplements include vitamins, minerals, amino acids, carotenoids, flavonoids, antioxidants, aminosugars, glycosaminogrycans, and botanicals.
